Currently, an Educator & a Mental Health

professional, in Charlottesvlle, VA.  I was a

student-athlete at the University of Virginia.

Post graduation, in 2006, I was employed as a

Mental Health Specialist for Psychiatric Solutions

in Charlottesville, VA. I moved onto the Cville-

Albemarle Southwood Boys & Girls Club, as a Teen

Services Director, in the summer of 2006 through

Dec. 2007.

I began transitioning to education full-time, moving from substitute teacher, in the IT and History Dept.  I began serving as an assistant teacher, in the African-American Studies class, at Albemarle HS. In addition, I served as a Dramaturge for the production "Raisin in the Sun," at Albemalre High School.

Through the African-American Teaching Fellows (AATF), I became a Drama and Career & Technology Education (CTE) teacher in Albemarle County Public Schools (ACPS).  I began in the Winter of 2006, at Jack Jouett Middle School (JJMS). then, as a tenured teacher, I choose to try the high school at Charlottesville High School (CHS) in the 2013-2014 school year. I was a long term substitute teacher in a senior exploratory, Advancement Via Individual Determination (AVID) class.

I then served as a mentor and tutor working on the mission: Personal and Academic Success for All.' and with this in mind, the CHS Working Achieves Learning Knowlege (WALK) program. actively promotes ongoing success for its students and manages barriers to on-time graduation." at CHS, Buford Middle School and The Henry Avenue Learning Center. Finally, facilitating the Jobs for VA's Graduates(JVG) grant as a Specialist, I was writer on the grant and implemented the new "Online L:earning" Classroom.

Most recently, I was a History and Special Education (SPED) teacher at Louisa County High School (2015-2017).  I also, served as a Track and Field Coach, winning regional and state titles, awards in both boys and girls. I achieved this in Theater and Track, at Louisa HS through the VHSL.  While working with the Our Brothers Keeper (OBK), a mentor group at Louisa HS, we increased membership by 100% and budgets by 200%.

I decide to join Rays of Hope Family Services LLC. during the spring of 2017, while teaching in Louisa County, VA  as a Mental Health Counselor, I felt this was a much broader audience and possessed the opportunity to touch an undeserved group. Like my experiences as the Regional Coordinator of Supplemental Educational Services, through Capital Education LLC, serving the Peninsula and Central Virginia .  The only company providing free educational services during 2007-2008 within the D.C. metropolitan area. Since, this time in Aug. 2017, I became a Professional Development Coordinator at Explore Learning, in Charlottesville, VA.
